How would you treat a frozen shoulder?

Just wanted to know the best course of action in treating someone who has had a frozen shoulder in the past? I don't want to worsen the condition.

Hi Sarahlouise,

I would treat it using the Bowen Technique which has excellent results. Alternatively, osteopathy or chiropractic.

As a sports therapist I look to achieve 15% improvement in ROM at each treatment, using combination of myofascial release, massage, soft tissue tecniques and exercise, this ensures the treatment is effective, doesnt cause too much discomfort and allows client to see improvement enough to motivate them to adhere to remedial exercise program, it however depends on the level of discomfort and severity of "freezing".
