I have a dog which is a cross between a staffy and a border collie, she is very friendly and gets on well with my cat. My dog is 3 years old and my cat is 5, I got my cat first out of the 2. I now have a 9 week old kitten and are trying to introduce her to my other cat and dog seperatly. At the moment when ever the kitten gets too close to my dog she growls and sometimes spits, the dog isnt that bothered. I get my mum to hold the dog while i either hold the kitten near to the dog or she just walks around the dog. How can I introduce them better so that my kitten gets use to the dog better?
When we introduced the cat and kitten we let them both go and they both spat at each other, since then my cat has briefly met the kitten through a glass door and really wasnt bothered about the cats presence but the kitten did growl at my cat. What would be the best way to properly introduce them so they get use to each other?
