I'm getting 2 male guinea pigs from the pet store that i will keep together in one cage. They are both almost the same age and I'm bringing them home at the same time. Do I just bring them home and put them in THIER cage right away or would I have to
Re-introduce them or something?
I need tips on what to do after bringing a guinea pig home. Because bringing a new pet home is the hardest part for me, but after I get used to the routine it's easier, so any tips on that?
And I heard on a website that even if you put 2 male guinea pigs together... As they get old, they will still fight anyway, is this true?
And I'm gone for 6 hours a day during school and I'm getting my guinea pigs during winter break or spring break.. I'm kinda worried they might fight while im at school, and no body can watch them... Any tips on that?
Last few questions: how do I keep my guinea pigs warm in the winter and cool in the summer?
Same with my gerbils? I'm probably getting 2 male gerbils too... how do I keep them warm in the winter and cool in the summer.?
Last one!
My guinea pig cage will be on a table in my living room the cage is a 2x5 c&c cage, and the gerbils will be In a 15 gallon glass tank, right next to the guinea pigs cage. So they will see each other everyday, can this cause any problems Like will the gerbils or guinea pigs fight because they see another rodent?
I could also put the gerbils In my room but thier cage will be right next to a mirror (don't know if that will scare them) and it will be right under an air vent and we do turn the a.c on. So what's safer in my room or in the living room?
Thanks
