HELP! Test anxiety!

I'm in a panic!  My first test on muscles, 20 of them is coming up, Anyone have some suggestions on remebering muscle O I & A?? I have done flash cards, palpated the ones I can, even drew some on the hubby and just can't seem to get all the words for them in my head for my test!! I am having some serious test anxieties!(sp?)Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!THANKS!!

First take a deep breath! You seem to be doing all the right things... it just takes time. My past instructor that used to be a nurse has to refer to books!

If you can come up with mnenonics for the muscles that would help.

HELP! Test anxiety!

In our class, we drew the muscles out onto sheets with outlines of the body parts (simple outline of back/ front of leg, for instance) using colored pencils, then labeled them and wrote out OIA on the back. It was really helpful for the short term, but I still have a challenge remembering a lot of it. I'm not sure where the outline pages that we used came from, but if you do a google search and select "Images" as a search parameter, you can usually find all kinds of images that you can use. For instance, I searched "arm medical illustration" and found this one, http://catalog.nucleusinc.com/imagescooked/2664W.jpgwhich could be great for all the mm. of the anterior arm.Any exercises that get you thinking about the details will help you memorize them...and that's what it's all about is memorization. There was a discussion about this on here before, and one thing I took solace from is that even though there are a lot of muscles, they are a finite number. Once you learn them, they won't likely change any time soon....

Thanks for the tips and  web links. I took my first muscle test yesterday, made a B, but she said she gave us some slack on this one. But these are great ides and again thanks for helping out a student in need!Have a happy Saturday!
