Help on introducing Chair massage at Hotel Lobbys

Hello,

I would like to introduce Chair Massage for the hotel lobbys in Portugal. I live in a very touristic area with a lot of 5 star hotels and I would like to make some proposals. I know a lot of people already work on hotel loobys all around de world, but I'm having trouble figuring out the best way to make a proposal..

I don't know what kind of arrangements people make with the hotels and what's the best way for this to work.

I really appreciate any ideas and some help for everyone that work or worked in a hotel lobby or just know how this use to work.

I have done this very informally in a privately owned hotel near my home. I spoke with the owner and gave him a "sample" chair massage, he loved it and told me to set up whenever I wanted. So.....I'm not much help on a proposal, BUT what I found that worked the best for getting hotel guests in my chair was to put up a sign before their check in time, right on the desk, saying what hours chair massage would be available in the lobby, and to print up business card sized handouts to be given to each guest with their key when they checked in. I generally was available 2-3 hours at a time. If I got really busy and there was a line, I stayed later. 7:00 - 10:00 pm was perfect because they could walk in after dinner and see me (reminder for some who knew they wanted a massage but had forgotten), get a massage and then go sit in the hot tub before bed. Sometimes there would be groups that came in together and all sat around visiting while taking their turns on my chair. It was a lot of fun!

I was wondering if it's possible to get paid from the hotel.. The hotel offers to every client, by the time they check in, a voucher for a free chair massage.

Do you think it's a possibility for such kind of agreement?

I did charge each massage recipient at the time. I wasn't charged anything by the hotel for the use of the space. I was sure to give the front desk staff a complimentary massage each time I was there, and the owner on the rare occasions he was in.

It is possible to get the hotel to pay you, but that would be more complicated, I'd think, and harder to convince them to let you set up in their space. For that, you will need a very well done formal proposal.

I'll try to make that kind of proposal anyway. It's like a welcome gift the hotel give to the clients. I would charge the hotel a lot less for each massage they offer, and only get paid for the massages I actually give.
If people wanted extra massages they pay me and I give a % to the hotel.

I don't lose nothing on trying, if they don't want that way, then I ask if I can set up and charge for each massage.

I don't know if a service like Chair Massage in the lobby might affect the other types of table massages already existent at the hotel Spa or something..
