Headaches

Hi
I wonder if someone could advise me please.

I have a regular booking of 4 clients at a school each week and last night I spoke to a lady that I massaged last week.
I asked her how she felt after and she said that she woke the next morning with tiny headaches all over her head and felt rough.

I do expalin to all that they must only drink water for an hour after treatment and go through all the contra indicaions.

I hope this doesnt put her off but I did remember that she didnt want her ears touched during the massage as it makes her jump. So I was extra careful not to go anywhere near her ears.

If someone could put my mind at rest please cos I am worried that this may put the others off.

It may be a positive sign that the IHM was effective - it could've been part of the healing crisis. Once of my case studies was extremely tired and was very emotional, but once that had passed she felt enormous benefit

Have had several clients who seem to get 'energetically' overwhelmed by this treatment. As I keep case histories I just know that with those people I have to be extra gentle and shorten the treatment slightly to avoid overstimulation. Off course all other tips posted still apply.

Hi

When I was training I had IHM because of migraines. After the 1st treatment I had to go to bed for 5 days with the worst one that I'd had for a long time. Said to tutor the next week not again, she said you know its gets worse before it gets better. Next week 3days in bed the following week 2 days. Since then and we are talking 6years ago I have only had one migraine and thats because I missed my 3monthly IHM treatment.

I tell my clients it may happen to you but it does get better. My tutor said it was a severe reaction and certainly doesn't happen to everyone, but is all part of the healing process.
