True Reflexology is not actually a foot massage but a form of pressure point therapy on the feet (or hands and ears if the practitioner is trained in them). Spa Reflexology is generally just an overpriced foot massage by someone who has very little training in the modality. :-(
If you really want to try a Reflexology session, which should not hurt by the way, look for a practitioner that has received at least the education standards for the United States (lowest standards in the world for Reflexology education BTW). So this is someone with 100-something classroom hours in Reflexology and about 100 clinical hours working on people.
