Hand and foot massage

I have alot of male cx's who are in the "construction" business and there hands and feet are a mess from manual labor and having there feet stuffed in work boots all day. My hands kill at the end of the day. I've started using hot towels from the cabi as a compress to soften the hands and feet- I'd like to add pariffin treatments to help sooth and soften the areas to be able to work on but not to hot on the toxicity issue of pariffin. What do you guys do? I need some good ideas please.

I know my hands feel wonderful after giving someone a salt "glow" treatment before reflexology. It seems that could easily be adjusted to a hand massage, too.

yes, those manual labor hands can be difficult at times.

i agree with denise re: salt glow, although i would use sugar because they often have little knicks in their skin. that will help.

also: i don't use oil on hands/feet. it's just to slippery for me and i can't get a good grip.

mix in some stretches to the hands first to let them loosen, and be patient. these clients always tell me their hands & feet are their favorite part, and it's always over too quickly!

I have done that with clients whose hands and/or feet deserved it!! (hard callused ones). Never had anyone turn it down nor complain about it.

How do you do you salt or sugar glow treatment? Thank you for all your replies. I have 2 cx's in particular that are just truly wonderful people. There older and been in the business forever and there feet and hands are a mess so they would be very appreciative of some good tips Any tools anyone uses to get into the feet that works well?

Not directly related to sessionn techniques, but I recommend that clients who have issues with plantar fascia to perform the following self-care. Remove their shoes, sit down in a chair, have a tennis ball under their feet , and, with a medium amount of weight/pressure, roll their feet over the ball (one foot at a time). I advise them to really work the fascia all over; not to focus on sensitive or hot spots initially. I recommend they do this on both feet and do it two or three times a day.

As for your working on the feet, remember to switch your tool (i.e., knuckles, forearm, palm, elbow, etc.). I'm sure you already do this, just thought I'd mention it.
