11. Hammer toes could indicate
a. head, face, teeth problems
b. sinus problems
c. ear problems
d. migraine


The above is a question posted on the exam forum. The answer given is (a) but hammer toes specifically refers to the 2nd, 3rd , 4th and 5th toes so I would have though the correct answer should be (b). Can anyone clarify this one for me?

we were taught that hammer toes and similar deformities suggest the head and face zones, which include teeth, gums and sinuses could have been affected.

I agree. I would say that all of these options apply. However, I am wondering about meridians. Could a problem of this kind be due to a problem along the relevant meridian and maybe not the head atall?

I agree Coolaboola. I was taught that the teeth reflex is on the big toe and that the sinus points are on the 2nd - 5th toes. The ear reflexes are particularly on the 4th and 5th toes.

Hmm. Thanks for those responses. Sometimes ITEC don't make it easy - it seems that at least two if not all of those answers would be correct. Oh dear. Difficult to know what to answer if this question comes up so.
