Half leasing a horse in Calgary ! :)?

Hey, so I am horse-sitting this horse named Selena this week, and I am an English rider-jumper-and I am having a lot of troubles with the school horses at my stables, so anyway I was thinking that if I did really good on this horse I am babysitting, I would talk to the owner about me half leasing her. I'm not even sure that the owner is up for someone halff leasing - but I would like to know around what are the prices to half lease? Because my parents are kind of tight on money, and I don't want to get my hopes up if it's really pricey ! Anyways, please tell me the rough estimate of what half leasing a horse from it's owner would cost.

i ride at a stable called callegari in cypress tx and i have thought about half leasing. she told me that to half lease it would be around 250$ if you are looking to improve your skills i would take lessons because for two 1hr lessons a week it would cost about the same amount per month and if you ask your trainer will usually let you just hack.
