Hainan Province - Haikou and/or Sanya

Has there been no additional info since the last post? No action, or nobody visits Hainan?

I am going to Haikou in early October with a group of horny golfers for 2-3 days. I'd appreciate it if anyone has some information on the good places to go.

Most of the rest would prefer the easy way out, ie KTV and massage parlours, but I'd like to find some time for some freelancers at discos if I can.

Anyone know:
- good places to go
- expected prices
- things to watch out for

Any help is appreciated and I'll post my trip when I get back.

In Haikou stayed initially in the rather run down hotel by the roundabout and park, Haikou Hotel? The one with the infamous coffee shop and used to be deaf and dumb girls there from one of the posts here years ago. Talking almost 5 years ago was there. After that place moved up the hill to Treasure Island Hotel by the old airport. Again after a recommendation by a poster on here. Long time ago but it wasn't bad. Not too expensive and no problem bringing ladies back. Went to a couple of dance halls. Where the Chinese would do retro style ballroom dancing. Found a disco too where a ladyboy tried chatting me up. Funny little resort on the beach on the outskirts of town for daytime diversion.

Sanya, was in a couple of places again. Stayed in a place just along from the huge hotel built to resemble the bridge of an ocean going liner. Noticed a few hotels had signs up in Russian. Again when asked for massage in this place they brought in some girls to on site massage parlour. After that moved along beach to the Sea Air Sky Hotel think it was called. They had a troupe of eastern european dancing girls downstairs who used to hang out in skimpy bikinis during the day. Had the beach side bar and pool to self and travelling companion. Cool place. Would go again.

Sanya-check out the Rendezvous Hotel which has KTV-regulars 200/500/1000 and the "models" are double cost. I'm sure there are other places-great hotel for 100$/night

Been a few years but was in both Haikou and Sanya. Learnt some Mandarin before went. Cant believe you not go out at night. Thats when the street chicks are out in force. Easy pickings with a bit of language. Most of the big massage places were legit that I went to. Guys patrolling corridors etc. Off street knocking shop action can be a bit hit and miss.

This needs a thread, really it does.

Hainan's an island south of Guangdong Province - roughly 250-300 miles SW of Guangzhou or Hong Kong. The two main cities are Haikou, the capital, at the north end (it's a special economic zone) and Sanya, a resort area, at the southern end. Hainan is called "the Oriental Hawaii" because it's got palm trees and great beaches and all that, and Chinese (among others) go there for holidays and golf. Both Haikou and Sanya have airports, and flights are pretty much available from all over east and southeast Asia (but especially from Guangzhou and Hong Kong, I think).

So, why not have a thread for it? I'll go first.

I was on Hainan earlier this year. I didn't look around a whole lot, and didn't shag anybody, but I did make several contacts for any return visit. I was mainly at the northern (Haikou) end, but didn't wander around town a whole lot at night. I did get a feel for a few possible resources for mongering:

1. Hotel sauna/massage areas. These are, I think, on the up-and-up, at least at the 4-5 star hotels, but I'm not 100% sure of that, and there's the possibility that certain practitioners might have a different approach.

2. Outside massage providers. I only saw one, a little local lady in a track suit who struck me as probably fit but not exceptional looking. Didn't even know she was one until I politely said ni hao and she said "massage?" I've heard that there may also be people passing out cards on the street near hotels for call-to-your-room providers, like in Beijing, but didn't see any.

3. SWs. I didn't see any, but a friend was hounded by one...

4. Clubs. The hotels typically have dance clubs, etc. I saw some girls dressed like some kind of anime characters, but didn't have my camera with me to get photos of how much leg they had showing... probably some potential there, but didn't have time to check the one at my hotel out.

5. Students. I met quite a lot of girls from a couple local colleges. Don't know what my chances would have been... most of them are in the 4-6 range; I saw a couple who had faces more in the 7-9 department, but stupidly didn't devote all my efforts to them, and wound up hanging out with more average-looking ones as a result.

Sanya scene is probably different, due to the large influx of tourists, etc. There are also a bunch of smaller cities/towns, but I didn't get to check them out.
