GPA on resume when just out of school?

What do you think about putting your GPA on your resume?

I don't know if this is considered "tacky" or "inappropriate" but I'm thinking if you are just out of school, and don't have any bodywork work experience, maybe including your GPA (provided you did well in school) wouldn't be a bad idea.

Personally I wouldn't put my GPA on my Resume'. IMO it would be tacky.

I don't think it is necessary to have your GPA. I would not consider the GPA when hiring an MT.

However, you may want to add information about any items you have been responsible for in other jobs - such as opening the office, holding a set of office keys, responsible for payroll and/or cash-handling experience. These things are usually given to people who are capable of handling more responsibility and may be of importance to your future employer.

I don't it would be appropriate to have the GPA, either. In relation to past work experience, I would definitely list any customer service history you may have. Of course, list your courses in school including the number of hours of hands on work for homework and any other type of bodywork such as outreach and if your school had a clinic and you worked there, I'd include that as well.

The best test for your skills as a MT will be the work you perform on any prospective employer. Just remember to listen to what the person says and then do it and remember to breathe and enjoy the process.
