Got a bad massage at the mall..?

i got a bad massage at the mall about 3 months ago.. at the end of may. after i left the massage i felt really really dizzy, for like a week. then i started to get these little pains at the base of my neck. it started to spread upwards towards the left side mainly. then i started to realize it would happen more when i moved my neck. sometimes the pain would be really dull, n sometimes it would be at the top of my head and be really really sharp. i had a ct scan done and it came back normal. im SO SCARED i have MS im losing my mind. my dr put me on muscle relaxers bc i told him what happened with the massage, but its hard to see if they are working.

could an irritated nerve really cause so much crazy pain? please help me im so scared. im seeing a neurologist on tuesday just to tell him what has been going on...

Answer: Absolutely! Take it from someone that has a motor neuropathy and degenerative arthritis. The body is a delicate creation. Whether one thinks God created you, you evolved from a slimy little salamander, or a big bang has brought us billions of years to our present state, it cannot be denied that our bodies are complex, and are amazing at how they operate.

Just the slightest muscle damage or trauma can cause weeks of pain in an area of your body. The worst areas are your neck and back. Why, because they run along the spinal cord that connects to your brain, so it is so sensitive in this area just the tinniest anomaly and you can be in severe pain for a while.

If your CT scan is negative, you will be okay in time. However, as a precaution, I do think it is a good idea to go see your neurologist. He will more than likely put you at ease, but....if he thinks there is something he or she will do their best to find cause and treatment.
