Good to see aromatherapy being accepted in the mainstream...

Can't see it happening in my local maternity unit - women who opt for a 'quick turnaround' get 6 hours in the unit. My young neighbour was in labour for most of last Tuesday - went in to the unit at 8pm, gave birth whilst having a warm bath (not a birthing pool!) at 8.45 and was collected by her husband at 2.45 AM - not sure the staff would have time to evaluate beneficial oils!!!
 
It is a start... I'm not happy that only trained midwives are allowed to apply massage and mix oils... they are recognising the benefits and taking it away from the therapists.
