Golden Acupoints along Meridians??

Does anyone know a good source that would have all the major "Golden Acupoints"?We recently had a Shiatsu test where we had to identify the 14 main meridians. The test also asked us to list at least 3 Golden Acupoints, their number/location and corresponding name (i.e. K1 - "Bubbling Spring") and what symptoms they are indicated for. We had previously been given a handout with some Golden Acupoints on it. But it didn't list 3 for each meridian. In fact, it didn't even list any Golden Acupoints for some of the meridians. Our teacher knew this, so he didn't require that we name the Golden Acupoints as requested on the exam. However, the exam came from some source which must have listed at least 3 Golden Acupoints for each meridian. But our teacher didn't know the source. He said he gave us all the information he had. I'd like to know what all the Golden Acupoints are.  I may need to know some for the National exam. And, mostly, I just want to know.- Samantha

Thanks Dorraine!  I didn't see any "Golden Points" specifically listed and named on the first and third websites, but the middle one (itmonline.org) has a nice chart with 12 "Golden Points", or "Star Points" as they are referred to here. For exampleoint name: Quchi  Translation: Crooked Pond  Location: LI-11  Indications: aching elbow, hand cannot close, arm very weak, throat closes up, repeated or persistent fevers, severe lesions over the whole body  Our teacher gave us a list of about 28 Golden or Star points, and then gave us a test asking us to name at least 3 Golden Points and accompanying info for each meridian. That would be 42, and because we didn't have that many, we weren't required to come up with all those Golden points. However, whoever made up the test (our instructor got it from some prepared module, but no one seems to know the original source!!), must have had at least 3 Golden or Star points for each meridian with all the accompanying information. This list of 12 on one of the websites you gave me, has about 6 or so that I didn't already have, so now I'm up to about 34. So, if anyone else knows of or runs into another resource with similar information on special "Star" or "Golden" acupoints, please let me know!Thanks again, Dorrain.- Samantha

I haven't heard reference to them as Imperial points. But they could be the same thing. My teacher and our Shiatsu final called them "Golden Points". On a website Dorraine posted they call them "Star Points". Whatever the name, they are considered especially important points along the meridians. What the test wanted to know was the location, translated name, and the indication for working that particular point. A few examples other than the one shown in another post on this thread are:Name: Hegu Transated name: Joining Valleys  Location: LI-4  Indications: headache with a swollen face, malarial fevers, burning then cold, tooth decay, nose bleed, lock jaw and unable to speak  Name: Weizhong  Translated name: Middle Equilibrium  Location: BL-40  Indications: lumbago, especially when severe and leading up the back, aching muscles which cannot extend, rheumatism which returns irregularly, knee stiffness  Name: Chengshan  Translated Name: Receiving the Mountain Location: BL-57  Indications: severe back-pain, hemorrhoids, bowel difficulties, swollen ankles and knees, repeated or continuous tremors or aches, cramps and spasms  The Imperial points that you mentioned, do they have a name, meridian location, and indications?Thanks,Samantha
