I've been looking online for information about how to get into massage therapy. I'm looking to eventually do it on my own, but maybe start out in a spa or something.
I don't really intend to ever work for a chiropractor or anything. I'm not looking for anything healthcare related.
I'm confused as to what is required to do this. I was 1st told that there were requirements by the state, then I was told that it was by county. I live in Washington County, Maryland. The schools are a couple hours away that I could find... & I don't know if there is a difference in the requirements of healthcare massage therapists & non-healthcare MTs.
How easy is it to start out in this? How much pay is expected? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
