finding clients

Hi,

Iqualified as a sports massage therapist 3 years ago and have unfortunatey, due to lack of time, not really used my skills much since then. I'm currently training as a physiotherapist full time but I'd really love to start using my qualification now, partly to earn some money but more importantly for the experience.

Can anyone suggest where I should start trying to find clients? Do people just approach clubs/fitness centres or do people advertise etc?? I'm sorry it's a bit of a general question but I don't really know where to start!

Personally I have never found that advertising was effective in things like local papers or magazines, but offering to give demonstrations at Womens Guilds, or similar meetings was a very good way of gleaning a couple of clients, which helped with 'word of mouth'. I have also received a few clients from the Healthy Pages Therapists Directory - so get your name in lights there for a start!
