Finals time again!

Finals are already here - we took the first one tonight - I passed and did very well. :woohoo: A/P finals are Thursday. I can't believe I only have one more quarter to go...three more months...time is sure flying! :shock:

How do you help someone who isn't good with words? They receive information best with pictures and in a "game-show" manner. I personally am very much word-nerd - and I can't get into the pictures for the most part and am not very good with impromptu things such as turning the information into a game...We have another person who learns like her but tonight didn't turn out the way I had hoped. Hopefully the person who learns like her can get with her tomorrow and they can study together. I just want her to pass so badly that I wish I could take the test for her. I've learned so much from her on the massage part- we learn from the teacher but there are some things that you can only learn from someone who seems to ooze massage. I just wish I could share my brain with her. Any suggestions? t100

Only thing I can think of as far as in a game show manner is to make flash cards. maybe have a "race" to see who can guess the correct answer. Have it in the form of how Jeopardy works....answer and you give the question.

very light oil on an arm or leg of the "target" person

"student" person is given a china marker [for those of you younger than me - looks like a pencil w/ peel of paper - writes like a thick crayon - just in case you don't know what it is]

"student" is asked to draw the outline of a muscle on the limb of the "target"............ for example, "Helen, please draw on James arm for me the location of biceps brachii" - closest to correct wins the points........... it was our introduction to the a&p portion of our massage class........... was such a hoot --- especially when several people drew an outline for biceps brachii on the forearm!!! :shock: .... and we had just been over origins and insertions of the forearm before this exercise t005

That's funny...that's like a nurse called my friend who just chipped her greater trochanter when she fell - according to the technician she chipped her greater trochanger in her elbow... :shock: Ummm...that would be the femur honey!

Good news all of us passed our finals - one more quarter to go...wow...it has went very quick! Thanks for all the suggestions - we had done some of those - and everyone really pulled together as a team to study.
