Hi, I know a young woman with polycystic ovarian syndrome who is starting to lose her hair. It's hormonal and related to her PCOS (it's receeding from the hairline & temples).
I wondered if anyone knew any good remedies for helping with this? Anything that is especially good for strenghthening the hair - she just doesn't want to lose anymore.
Also, she's not on any medication.
Thanks.
Edit - Just wanted to furhter add; from her description I think it sounds rather like telegon effluvium (temporary shedding of hair). She's been test for alopecia, which was negative. I wondered, if in fact, it wasn't hormone related but more due to the physical stress she's been under.
