I think a lot of old timers remember Club Kamur. Apparently, it has a new name. Recently it was called Girl's Palace. Cabbies know it too. It's not the easiest place to find. If you're near Clinica Biblica, head south about 20 blocks. If you're on the circumvencion highway which belts around the south side of San Jose, at the rotunda where there is the large auto parts store called Guacamaya (spelling?), head north about 7 blocks and it's right there.

For those who remember Kamur as a bit of a dump, the recent owners of Girls Palace made substantial improvements to the upper level where the dancing took place. New fixed up rooms in the rear where the horizontal dancing took place.

One other thing, the building is a stand alone structure, on a corner lot with lots of parking in front, two levels with 5000 sq. ft. per floor. Hard to miss!
