Essential oil selection for someone starting out

Hello,

Are there a top 10/20 oils that are crucial to have in a collection to treat the common conditions that clients request support with?

I'm currently studying Aromatherapy and have a small collection of essential oils which I have obtained for different things for personal use, just wondering about what oils I need to start thinking about adding to my collection, as some of them are expensive so I would need to save up.

Base formula do some decent cheap oils. I'd go for lavender, rosemary, lemon, eucalyptus, rose/jasmine, ylang ylang, sandalwood. They're a good basic bunch and each have some lovely different properties.

Rosemary oil (Rosmarinus officinalis) - information on the origin, source, extraction method, chemical composition, therapeutic properties and uses. is a good website that goes into detail which oil does what

Sounds like I'm well on my way then. I have all of those and a few more. lol

Just ordered myself Sweet Margoram and Melissa to help sort out my headaches and migraines. Got a bit of a shock when I saw the price of the Melissa but if its going to help me its worth the spend.

I've never used Melissa so maybe you could teach me a thing or two. I've love my oils, I've helped people treat kidney infections, chest infections, headaches, general or muscle aches, lifted emotional moods.

Oh and black pepper is a good one for boosting circulation, very strong but diluted, is brilliant for elderly and arthritis or people on their feet all day for a leg massage. I got into oils when I saw an essential oil going extremely cheap in my local magic shop

Melissa has been suggested to me by my Reflexologist (who is also an Aromatherapist). She gave me a tissue with a blend on which included Melissa and said to sniff it on the first onset of a migraine. So I've purchased the two essential oils that I don't have from the blend she mixed for me to see if it helps. Hopefully they will turn this week.

I sometimes get bad migraines, may have to look into Melissa. Lavendar and rosemary across my forehead and temples usually do well though
