Ekkkk.... First unsavory customer!

Obviously I can't go into to many details but, I had a client contact me, who wanted to book in for a full body massage, booked an appointment, I work from home as a hobby so I just move my dining room about!! My partner was in the house, and the client was saying things that were a bit strange and although it was strange he didn't make me feel too uncomfortable.
Anyhow, a therapist and a friend who I’ve done my courses with asked me the other day if I have any clients, I said about this client, respecting his client confidentiality, but she knew straight away who I was talking about - He is well known in my area for suggesting/doing lewd things to therapists and he has been banned from all beauty salons in the town!!

I contacted the website I have membership/insurance with, who have my details, and every other therapists details on and their was not much they could do!!

So this is a warning to all therapists- please be careful!!

There are some unsavoury people out there.

I have had a similar experience. I was contacted by a man who said that he got my details from my professional organisation Website. On chatting to him, he mentioned the same phrases as a colleague was told before she saw him a couple of times for a full body massage. I checked with her what his real name was and it was the same person! We have warned as many other people about him as we can!

I'd be interested to know where you are and which Website you mean sajane - just to see if we're talking about the same person too - privately of course!!!

As a female practitioner, working from home, I make it a rule that I only work on the male variety when my husband is at home. He always makes his presence known and usually helps with the healing. As I teach my students, there are some weird people out there - be aware at all times especially when working near the patients hands which can easily touch your naughty bits[X(]And for those males out there - same thing can occur, there are females out there who will grab YOUR naughty bits if given the chance[X(] If it helps you practitioners to understand why this happens - just remember, that to give healing, you give unconditional love. Those clients that have not experienced this before, can make a wrong assumption.

I had an unsavory 'phone call only yesterday afternoon! It was a man in his early 50's he told me who was interested in a full body massage for relaxation! As gilliebean1 also said, I told him that my husband was always in the house during treatments on men and he seemed OK with that - to protect us both.

He then went on to ask if I was OK with naked massage and not to get embarrassed if he got aroused! He wasn't going to ask me to "deal with it" for him!!! He said a few other odd things along those lines and then said he would get back to me. I hope he doesn't as I would turn him down after reflecting on our conversation that started out so innocently.

sajane - I have tried to send a PM to myself and all works OK!?!?!?!? Would be interested to know more details.....

It is quite normal for men to get aroused when being massaged or when given other forms of healing - their body cannot differential between unconditional love and sex/love. However, on this occassion, I would go with your instincts - if you don't like him, you don't have to treat him. You cannot beat that gut instinct. It is the Practitioners choice as to who they work on, as is the Doctor .

I'll add that for most male therapists there are probably more male clients hoping for more than a massage than female clients trying to grab things.
