I posted this in another thread, but am so happy with it, I thought it should get it's own "look at this!" threadI just got the DVD and bowl from Diamond Way Ayurveda for their "PediKarma(tm): Ayurvedic Foot Treatment" "PediKarma(tm) is the name we give an inspired Ayurvedic treatment for the feet. This DVD or video will give you the background, training, and product information for offering this exquisite 5 part treatment ritual. Includes an advanced Reflexology developed by Robert Sachs and use of the Ayurvedic 3-metal kansa foot bowl." I am VERY impressed with it (I did some courses wityh Melanie Sachs a while ago, so I had thought it would be pretty good) I've only had it for a week, and have been including the metal bowl for a few of my regulars while I get more comfortable with it (it is an easy routine) The feedback has been great, everyone has liked it, and made comments about their feet feeling lighter. The metal bowl is quite cool, and draws heat out of the body, particularly when you combine it with their Tibetan Anise Foot Lotion "This particular lotion uses essential oil of Anise with coconut oil and is applied exclusively to the feet for pulling excess heat out of the body, especially from the eyes." - it works!!! It's Pimpinella anisum, not star anise, I wouldn't use it in a body blend as it can cause skin sensetivity but the skin on the feet is usually less sensitive than elsewhere, and in large doses it reportedly slows the circulation, yet in small doses it speeds it up. It's not really a cold blast, just very refreshing, and it does help with the computer eyes (it does draw that red eye feeling out of the eyes). The feet smell like licorice all sorts with the aniseed and coconut smell. It goes through a foot bath, reflexology session, then the metal bowl massage, then a bit more foot massage with how to remove the toxins brought out by the bowl, and then a relaxation bit. You can do any of the sections by themselves in a treatment. I found some feet go black from the metal (sign of toxins) and you really do need the removing toxins bit afterwards, but otherwise you can do any section, without needing to do the whole thing.Plus the bowl is really cute Most of the treatment is done with the client face down - a different angle for reflexology!
