dry bruching

Has anyone tried incorporating dry brushing into their massage? And how did it go?
And how do you sanitize the bruches? Or do you have the client buy their own brush?
If this topic has been discussed, can you point me that way?

Explain what you mean by dry brushing? Do you mean exfoliating with a bristle brush? If so, I have used an exfoliating mit as part of a body treatment. My clients enjoyed it.
The mitts are washable, very cheap, and easier to use than a brush because your hands conform to their body much easier than a brush.

As to your questions there are many different ways to go about this. What I do when I combine dry brushing with massage is to always start off with the brushing as you want the skin to be clean and dry. I apply several drops of essential oils to a natural bristled brush and brush the front, then have the client turn over, brush the back and then start the massage. To clean the brush, I was taught that the easiest way was to simply throw them in with the linens and wash it in the machine. I then spray it down with a sanitizer after it is dry.
