I think it's more of drug trafficking...
And yeah, laws here a pretty strict, but people tend to exaggerate them. If you brought some gum over for personal consumption nothing would happen to you (I know, I bring some home everytime I go overseas). Plus, I've NEVER seen the "not flushing public toilets" one being enforced, if it's even a law.
One law I don't really like is the fine for eating/drinking on public transport. I mean, eating a Mcdonald meal would stink up the train, but some people (like my friend's friend) got caught for chewing on sweets. -.- Which is pretty silly.
Some laws:
1. Racism is frowned upon and some people have been jailed/ fined for making public racist comments.
2. Piracy is illegal (but they won't stop you from bringing in a couple of DVDs lol)
3. Homosexual acts are illegal.
4. It is illegal to smoke in some public spots (e.g. bus-stops)
5. Murder in the first degree is a capital offence.
Ehh, the laws you may find on external websites are questionable. Don't believe them unless you have confirmation from a Singaporean. D: Good day!
