Do you think a massage package will be a good gift for my mom?

I've always figured my mom to be more of the person that likes items and whatnot, but for about 3-4 years, she has had back problems. She dislocated a rib and fluid builds up in her lower back. For those 3-4 years, I always bought her some kind of massage/heating tool to use when she feels uncomfortable. She now uses pain killers for her back so she doesn't use the tools as often, but still complains about her back every now and then.

So if I do get the massage package, would this be reasonable? :

1.) First Time Facial $95

2.) Deep Tissue Massage $90 (50min)/$115 (80min) OR Serenity Stones $120 (60min)/$150 (90min) <--IS THIS ONE BETTER THAN DEEP TISSUE?

3.) Milk & Honey Manicure $35

4.) Milk & Honey Pedicure $65

My budget is ABSOLUTELY at $315.00. I'm a high school senior so I can't afford much since I don't have a steady income...only work random seasonal jobs...the job employment isn't that great...especially for teens. Do you think she will like this gift idea. She's a picky person when it comes to gifts. I don't know what else to do...

If you were my kid I would have wondered what I did to deserve you. Fantastic gift.

The hot stone massage is a more relaxing massage that heats up and helps relax the muscles. The deep tissue is more therapeutic. It will work out the knots. I enjoy them both. If your mom does not get a lot of massages the deep tissue is more traditional and they can go as deep or light as she asks. The hot stone is fantastic but can seem odd to a novice. Get her the deep tissue and bring a pamphlet from the spa. let her know she can upgrade to a hot stone for a few extra dollars and she will do what she wants.

You should ask the spa if they serve lunch when you buy an all day package. Your mom may get a nice snack/meal while she is there.

Great gift if you ask me.

If you were my kid, I would cry tears of joy for months. That's an amazing gift for your mother, you're very thoughtful.

I would say go with a 50 min deep tissue massage and one of the other options. I don't know too much about serenity stones either. But good luck picking one out for your mom. I'm sure she'll love it!
