Hi
I have high hamstring/insertion pain around the ischial tuberosity and find that deep tissue work here really helps to straighten out the trigger points as my hamstrings are literally like marbles! However after a session on Sunday i have a patch of skin that is at the top of the hamstring near the adductor insertion so 'underneath' so to speak on my inner thigh thats numb. Its not totally numb but sensory perception is altered from the other side. The hammy is also pretty sore although no bruising etc.
I am wondering if any therapist here has expereinced skin tissue going numb after deep work and if its anything to worry about? It seems to be just the superficial layer of skin and at no point during the massage did i get pins and needles or pain down my leg so i dont think its sciatic related.
Any thoughts ?
thanks
