crystals and uses

A friend gave me a bunch of various crystals such as onyx,smoky quartz,rose quartz,emerald,blue lace agate,tourmaline,bloodstone, just to name a few.Which would be the best ones to use in general protection or using in Reiki sessions? Also how would I prep them before use? For whatever reason, I just cannot remember how to clean and charge them.

Hi Johnny,

All of the cyrstals can be used during a reiki session, they work very well together. You place the stones on the chakras, or where you think they will work best. Stones will jump off the person if they are not needed in that area, trust me!

Selenite by far is the best for cleansing and charging your stones. It is fast and effective, and you don't have to worry about water damaging the stones either. I have several selenite wands and formations as cleansing stations for my stones. (Selenite is also a good one to use with reiki too!)

After I use my stones, and if I don't have selenite around, I will reiki them. I don't remember if you are level 2 or master, but you could use the clearing symbol or one of the master symbols on them too. I would still use selenite as well, but the Reiki is a good quick bath. The selenite gives them the "soak" they need.

If you are looking for properties of stones and don't have a book, the internet has a weath of information, just google the stone name and healing. That usually does the trick.
