craniosacral fascial?
Not sure if I am fully understanding your question, but unwinding is unwinding, at least to me. It can be very still and internal, or it can be large, whether on the table or ending up on the floor. Philosophical differences between MFR unwinding and CST unwinding are there: CST seems to believe (or at least used to) that the larger motions are often the bodies attempt to move out of a significant point, or avoidance. Therefore they may wish to keep one more focused. MFR often states that full blown unwinding is the true expression of the restriction, be it physical or emotional. Limiting this full motion is viewed as missing the point.
I have seen both extremes work and work well. Often people blow off the steam with a large scale unwinding but get to enamored with the process that they lose track of what was underneath. Hence the repeated unwindings at repeated seminars. People often benefit from looking inward more, changing the pattern.
