Hey all I am in my last quarter of massage school and started clinic last week. My first client was a crab apple but the rest were great. I have a good job lined up at a chiropractic clinic, just wondering if anyone here has done that and any does anyone have any advice? I am a little nervous just because this is a totally nerw chapter in my existence. and how long did it take for you to really comfortable with your techniques????

Once you get past the experience of your first "real" client, it begins to seem real to you, and the relaxation comes to live with you when your realize that you really can give a proper massage, and you really can do the kind of work you have trained so hard to do.
It took me about 2 "real" massages to just go: "Okay, I'm the real deal now. The client doesn't know how much I don't know, so, I'm gonna act like I know how to do what I know how to do and the confidence I have in that will save the day!!!" AND IT DOES.......... have the confidence in yourself that you know what you know... and that you can always look up the rest in a reference book!
