If you are thinking about trying them out I would recommend against it. I haven't found any scientific evidence that they work. There are some interesting possibilities with acupuncture but reflexology is pretty much a scam. A simple foot massage from a friend has the same benefits and will likely only cost you a reciprocal foot massage.
There was a German study about acupuncture that showed more people reporting relief from back pain with acupuncture than pain relief pills. However they also tested placebo acupuncture, where the needles were not inserted according to the chi points and paths. Both groups had the same result. So, this suggests that there may be some benefit to sticking people with needles, but that the claims of chi and energy flow aren't true.
I encourage you to do your own research.
