I had an idea that I like to call a Chair Massage Go Round.
Three massage chairs in a circle, therapists, and one helper (or it could be a third therapist.)
Ideally, the sessions would be short, 5 minutes each. Therapist one works for 2.5 minutes on client one, then moves on to client two, therapist two works on client one after therapist two has moved on to client two. The helper wipes down the chairs, adjusts the chair for the next client, and gets them situated while they are waiting their turn.
I got this idea for a charity event, charging each person at least $5, but they could leave more if they want.
The idea is to keep the beat going and a constant supply of clients for the MT's to work on. Of course, each participant would get brochures, business cards, and information.
All money raised would be donated to the charity event of course.
I get quite a few calls and emails asking for a donation gift certificate for whatever they have going on. Although a chair massage go round would require more out of me and my staff, I think if done at the right place, like a charity for someone with an illness where people are willing to give freely, it could really be quite the spectacle and get a spa a lot of attention and publicity for little more than a couple of hours of work.
What does every one else think?
