CD players

I have broken 2 CD players by getting oil on the play button, does anyone know of a player that will play a CD over and over without the need to keep pressing play? Thank you!

I thought that most CD players had a repeat button on them: my 2 children's cheap portable Alba ones certainly do (similar to ones on pg. 440-441, Argos).
Alternatively, have you thought about using an MP3 player and speakers?

Can you play them on your PC? Windows Media Player can do repeat.

The problem with PC's is that they tend to have noisy fans, unless the music drowns them out.

I run a computer shop with boyfriend. If your fans are noisy there's something wrong. Try cleaning the dust out of them or buy a new good quality one.

I too work with computers.

Unfortunately, I've yet to come across a computer that would be as silent as a stand alone cd player.

In my own PC, they are quite noisy, although I do clean the insides of the computer quite frequently. This is probably because it has the PSU fan, two case fans, the CPU fan and a graphics card fan.

I don't like to play my music through my PC, as there is always a background fan noise - I stick it on 'sleep' and use my CD player. Most of my CD's last just over 60 minutes - if I run over a normal treatment time, I simply put a tissue over my index finger and press 'play' again (the repeat button will only repeat single tracks - over and over and over again!!!). I have one colleague, who has put a piece of cling film over the buttons on her CD player.

If you press the repeat button twice, on my children's CD players at least, it repeats the whole CD - my son does this every night whilst listening to one to help him drift off to sleep.

Granted, though they shouldn't be so loud that you need "the music drowns them out".

I have a cd player which can play upto 3 discs one after the other, I simply put on repeat all at the beginning of the day, so it plays continously all day long, so theres never any reason for oil to come into contact with it. It only cost about £50 so its not bad value

HI, why not try and tape some cling film over the buttons, then you can remove it after the session and all is well with the world.

By the time one CD finishes, they should be so far gone they don't notice if there is music or not!

Like someone else said try an mp3 player.

I have my music into diffent playlists e.g.classical, spa, celtic, chines/japanese type etc.

depending on what client likes I can just press a button and it switches over.

Best thing I ever bought.
