Greetings!
I am approaching the year anniversary of my initial massage training - a Swedish intensive program at San Francisco School of Massage. I supplemented that training with 80 hours of Deep Tissue work. Since then, I've been working one or two nights a week at a spa. I love being a bodyworker!
That said, I find that my 192 hours training isn't going to do me any good when I need to relocate to take care of aging parents (or simply leave San Francisco to find a more reasonable seismic and economic home base.)
So, I'm enrolling in a 720 hour program at National Holistic Institute. Their San Francisco campus is blocks from my house so the commute will be easy, even if the four nights a week, four hours at a time, ten month schedule will be taxing.
Does anyone on here have any recommendations or thoughts about the quality of education at NHI? How about their reputation in the industry?
I've gathered some anecdotal information regarding the quality of bodywork done by graduates, but I'm interested in your opinion.
Thanks so much!
Randy
