Can anyone recommend any good massage DVD;s?

Hi there,

Can anyone recommend some good instructional massage DVD's that include: advanced massage techniques, myofacial / neuromuscular release and or trigger point therapy and all other types.

I’d recommend the following:

‘Deep Tissue Massage’ by Art Riggs (box of 7 DVDs – very comprehensive: published by [link=http://www.deeptissuemassagemanual.com/]www.deeptissuemassagemanual.com[/link])
‘Deep Tissue & Neuromuscular Therapy’ by Sean Riehl (2 DVDs – published by [link=http://www.realbodywork.com/]www.realbodywork.com[/link] )
‘Beginning Myofascial release’ by Sean Riehl (published by [link=http://www.realbodywork.com/]www.realbodywork.com[/link] )

Riggs goes into more depth but the Riehl DVDs demonstrate professional draping, which Riggs doesn’t (his model is in a bikini and he works like a physiotherapist, ie without a towel or drape)

Thanks thats great Alan, those you mentioned sound just what I'm looking for. I will have a look at those in a mo.
I dont suppose you can also recommend any good books too? I am eager to be more knowledgable so as I can treat certain areas/conditions of the body on a more beneficial remedial level. I have looked on Amazon but its hard to tell which are the good ones.

I can also recommend the Sean Riehl series. Haven't got the titles you are looking for, but those I do have are good quality.

Basic Clinical Massage Therapy - Intergrating Anatomy & Treatment by James H Clay & David M Pounds. It comes with an instructional DVD. ISBN 13: 978-0-7817-5677-8

I agree with Essence99. Clay & Pounds is my favourite first source of reference: it is superbly illustrated (although my 2003 edition didn't include a DVD !)

The other book I'd definitely recommend for reference is 'Trail Guide to the Body' by Andrew Biel (ISBN 0-9658534-1-1) which has been praised on previous threads: it is an excellent guide to palpation.

Thanks guysI have 2 sean riehl DVD'S on order with Amazon.com - Amazon Uk didnt have them unfortunately. Also ordred a couple of books from Amazon inc 'The Trail to the body' so they should keep me busy for a while.
