Can anybody help me please? - I have been offered the possiblity to work as a massage therapist in a room at the back of a hairdressor's. However the ladies who own and work at the hairdressors smoke at the front of the shop. If I agree to renting the room am I making a mistake? Would I be behaving in a very unproffessional behaviour if to work in this environment? Many thanks, Michael

well we all know how cigarette smoke travels, so it may be difficult to keep the smell out of the room. Also it may put people off, whether they smoke or not,it doesnt really give the right impression of your profession. I smoke myself but none of my clients realise it, ou cant really mix the two.try looking elsewhere first.

I must say, the smell of cigarette smoke would REALLY put me off as a client or as a therapist. You can however get candles that do a good job of getting rid of cigarette odours.
