Hi, has anyone had any experience of workin with clients recovering from brain haemorrhage. The reason I ask is that a client of mine who used to come for massage treatments about 2 years ago had a haemorrhage last year. She is keen to have treatments again as part of her rehabilitation (she's somewhat paralysed and in a wheelchair). I explained that I would be reluctant to treat her without the go ahead of the gp. She is going to ask her doc next week then contact me. However, as I left her, I felt that even if I got her gps consent, its still a very scary prospect, obviously I wouldn't want to do her any harm. I've just googled it and found sites where people have explained that massage helped them to regain some feeling and mobility, so perhaps this is why she's keen. But I've got to admit, I find the whole idea a little daunting. Anyone have any experience in this area or any feelings about whether I should or not.[&:]
