Some friends recently visted the Ironmonger Row Baths in Islington and noticed that as well as massages there was a body scrub available.

This seemed to consist of the therapist brushing the body with soapy water using a bristle brush and then rinsing with a shower head.

Has anyone had this treatment - if so what does it feel like?
Is this a recognised treatment?
Does anywhere else offer the service?
Are there any health and safety issues?
