BELOIT, Wis. (WMTV) - The Beloit Police Department executed two search warrants Tuesday at massage parlors following community complaints alleging the businesses were offering sexual services.
According to a post on the City of Beloit Police Department’s Facebook page, the establishments are located in the 2700 and 2200 blocks of Prairie Avenue.
During the searches, detectives collected additional evidence and conducted several interviews, authorities said.
The investigation remains ongoing and is part of a larger initiative to combat human trafficking and businesses that promote or facilitate prostitution.
The investigation is being conducted in collaboration with the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, Department of Workforce Development, Janesville Police Department, Mount Pleasant Police Department, Rock County Sheriff’s Office, Sexual Assault Recovery Program, U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Services, Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, and the Rock County District Attorney’s Office.
