Before you give up, burn out, or change careers...

I'm thinking that before any of that, one might ask one's self, "When was the last time I hung out with a great teacher who's been doing this for at least a decade more than me... maybe two or three decades more?"

If not recently, obtain said time with such a person. Make sure to let them work on you some. Either pay for their class and volunteer as a demo, or pay for a session.

What do you think of your experiences with amazing bodyworkers? How have they rejuvenated (or not) you and/or your practice?

I know when I am around and learning from my teachers that it reminds me of the power of bodywork. It also reminds me how little I know.

That is a great idea. I think that it can work the other way too, for those of us who have been in the business for a while. I find that trading with someone that is fairly new can be enlightening and energizing. Also if you can experience the work of therapists trained in different regions/countries is great.

What I have found to help with burnout is balance. Sometimes we forget to practice what we teach.

There is SO much out there. We are truly lucky!

There is nothing like the exhilaration of training with a great teacher! It can be mentally taxing, but WOW what a wealth of wisdom to draw from!
