Basic Massage DVDs

Does anyone have a recommendation for a basic massage dvd? I have family members who are massage therapists, and they've offered to help me see if this is the field I'd like to enter, but I'd like to supplement their knowledge with a dvd or two as well. The two from Amazon.com that looked good to me were Basic Massage Therapy by June Alston and Massage With Confidence by Robert Haase.

There is a great DVD -- Swedish by someone "Malley" or "O'Malley" (I apologize that I can't recall the proper name right now, but I am on the fly ---> Maybe James O'Malley. I saw the dvd and it is one I recommend to all people looking to have a good base dvd ---> again, I am sorry for the pitiful recall on his name this morning). I will try to go through the forums this next week when I get time. There was a whole thread on this a few years ago that will help you a lot.

You may want to check into local massage therapy schools in your area to see if they give a one day or weekend workshop for those individuals contemplating massage therapy as a career. That is what I did and it was great. My Husband actually took it with me. I learned that weekend not only basic strokes, but proper body mechanics, touch with intent, and grounding and centering...it was a great experiential workshop that made it very clear that I wanted to pursue a career in massage therapy, as well, I chose the school because I felt comfortable with the instructors styles and the environment.
