Hello Everyone!
This will be a long post as I have much to say and inquire of
anyone with knowledge of using Auriculotherpay, Reflexology, and
Kinesiology.
I practice reflexology regularly, but mainly on the feet and only
occasionally on the hands. Does anyone have any experience
practising Auriculotherapy? If so, what instrument(s) do you use?
Do you have a suggestions on a good book on this subject? Also, do
you find the ear to be any more or less effective than the feet and
hands?
Legally as a reflexologist I'm only allowed to work with the hands
and feet, due to state laws where I live. However, I was thinking of trying to
incorporated this into my practice without charging specifically for
it it, and just including it free as part of a reflex session.
Also I have a friend named Theresa that's a Naturopathic
physician. She practices reflexology strictly for diagnoses and not
as a dynamic healing modality that can promote healing by dissolving
crystals/toxins. She's has a huge amount of knowledge on many
natural modalities, but I was totally suprized to find that a reflex
session to her was less than 10 minutes and just some pressure on
reflex points. She does not use if for healing at all.
However, she does use reflexology in a way that I've never seen or
read anyone using it in this manner. My friend Martha (also a
reflexologist) went to see her, as she suffers terrible migraines.
While there Theresa pressed on Martha's liver reflex and then on
Martha's heart reflex while holding the liver reflex. Martha's heart
reflex was sore, but not the liver reflex. When Theresa only pressed
on Martha's heart reflex is wasn't sore. Theresa concluded that
Martha has fatty tissue accumulating in her heart due to her liver not
processing the fatty toxins correctly. While I have no doubt in what
Theresa is saying, I was suprized to find testing of reflexes in this
manner. Can reflexes be tested as the muscles, by using an indicator
reflex? Or am I misunderstanding what is going on here? This is a
really neat and potentially useful aspect of reflexology that I know
nothing off. Does anyone know anything of this type of reflexing?
Any books that elborate on this matter?
Eagerly awaiting your replies!
