At-home massage service gone wrong: man lured, robbed and stripped naked - WPEC

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A man was lured to a home by a woman who, police say, promised massage services then held at knifepoint by two men inside, told to undress and fought for his freedom all while naked.

The alleged massage service swindler, 34-year-old Dana Jewesak, was reportedly accompanied by 26-year-old Jervaughn Ewell and 36-year-old James Reed, who wielded a small knife. Both men were arrested after they exited the residence, but Jewesak refused commands to come out for hours before she finally did willingly then gave a false name to police, according to the affidavits.

Each suspect is facing multiple criminal charges, like false imprisonment and robbery with a deadly weapon.


Boynton Beach Police Department (BBPD) officers responded to a 911 call around 1 a.m. on Monday off Northeast 13th Avenue in Boynton Beach regarding a naked Hispanic man in the roadway.


Arriving officers found the victim -- still naked -- in his own car. The man was able to escape the residence he was lured to, the affidavits said.

The victim told officers he responded to an online advertisement for massages and was greeted by Jewesak upon his arrival at the home. Once inside, the woman showed her soon-to-be victim to a bedroom and stated she needed to use the restroom, the records showed.

Jewesak messaged the victim online and offered massage services. She walked him into a bedroom, left the room saying she had to use the bathroom and then Reed and Ewell walked in. (WPEC)


Then, Ewell and Reed entered the room.

They demanded the victim undress and hand over his money, cell phone and car keys. Reed allegedly took the man's belongings and left the room, leaving the victim with Ewell and Jewesak.

The unsuspecting victim feared for his life, he told officers in a statement, so he somehow pushed his way out of the bedroom past the two suspects -- Ewell, who the victim described as having a limp and a cane -- ran out the front door and confronted Reed who was rummaging through his vehicle.

Reed allegedly held the victim up with a knife. He later fought with the victim in the road way. (WPEC)


Ewell chased the victim, who was still naked, around in the street. The victim was punched in the face several times, but ultimately, Ewell threw the man's car keys in the road, the affidavits said.

The victim snatched them up and fled to meet with BBPD officers.

One by one, the suspects were taken into custody with the help of the victim identifying them. When Ewell was being detained, he stated he didn't know why he was being arrested.

Ewell was described to police by the victim as having a limp and a cane. This man was arrested and told officers he didn't know why he was being arrested. (WPEC)


Only after a Boynton Beach Swat team arrived did Reed exit the residence and was arrested. After several hours of commanding Jewesak to depart from the house, she complied also.

Reed and Ewell are charged with simple battery, burglary conveyance, false imprisonment and robbery with a deadly weapon with a $130,500 bond amount for both, records show.

Jewesak is charged with false imprisonment, robbery with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest without violence and was given a total bond amount of $125,500.
