Aromatherpay Or Aromacology

Ok you lot, I am beginning to get baffled.

I am wanting to have something to back me up, so I can blend essential oils, along with my crystl elixiers. Now I do not want to do hands on, massage or hands on Aromatherapy, as I do not intend to be giving people massages, simply suggesting and making various blends for metaphysical and spiritual uses.

Now this is where I get confused.
Do I:
Take a course that covers everything except the hands on practical side, example, Muscualr, system, respiratory system, blending oils etc. OR do I take a course that is specifically based on blending oils, their uses, how to make tincures, compresses etc....

Hmm I am rather at present. I Love mixing oils, and have been doing it for my self and close friends for years now, just want to take it a step further.

It depends what you want from the oils - do you want to mix them just for the different aromas, or do you want to benefit from the therapeutic effects too? That is the difference between aromacology and aromatherapy.

I dont know if you can do a course in aromacology, but I could be wrong, I often am!

It will be mixing oils for not just the aroma uses, but for the whole wide range of uses.

Not sure about the aromacology, could be the next step when I get on a course...
