Aromatherapy: What is the scent/oil that promotes.. ?

Studying and doing Homework. If there is no scent that exist that specificaly promotes homework and such what would be a good enough substitute ?

(That have to do with smells, scents, candles anything other then that is needed)

I've seen some studies on the subject that suggest lemon, rosemary, mint, and basil for that reason. Just steer clear of stuff you don't like the scent of - that's an awful distraction.

Ask yourself what discourages you from studying and homework? Do you feel your head as being heavy, .... just be aware of sensations in the body and eventual causes... these can point to the oil that you need.

You can also try Cognis-essence, an australian Bush flower essence.

And thinking is a function of the stomach-energy. Stomach is about digestion (food, emotions, thoughts, information). So check anything in acupressure about stomach energy and see what effects it has on you.
Spleen energy is good for concentration.

anything stimulating. I like peppermint oil. Before starting also listen to some raucous rock music. There was an Open University study done earlier this year and it found that raucous music was a brain stimulant and better than classical or pop. Thrash metal.

Turn the music off when you actually start your work. I then leave a bottle of peppermint oil open to provide stimulation while I'm working.
