Are Australian qualifications recognised in UK

Hi,

I'm after a bit of advice. I'm looking into travelling to Australia for 6-12 months. Whilst there I'm considering taking further training in massage, something along the lines of sports or remedial massage. If anyone has any advice on the following I would be hugely grateful:

Firstly are Australian qualifications - such as Diploma of Remedial Massage or
Certificate IV in Massage Therapy - recognised in the UK and if so are they easily insurable.

Secondly is anyone aware of any training courses or any organisations in particular that may be of use to me.

I have a colleague that has an Australian level 4 cert in massage and as far as I know had no problems. She also has a UK level 3 massage diploma (VTCT I think).

I've always had the impression that Australian massage qualifications are acceptable in the UK and the training is of a good standard.

If in doubt, ask one or two insurance companies and/or professional association (ie CThA, FHT etc) if they will accept Australian quals.
