Anyone been to Norfolk factory??

[sm=wave.gif] Hi, have any of you guys been to a factory which produces essential oils, we have been learning about extraction, distillation etc... in college today and my tutor said that there is one in Norfolk. If you've been, was it a useful experience??

Hi, yes I have been to Norfolk lavender and I found it a very interesting and useful experience. Their web address is www.norfolk-lavender.co.uk. They provide visits to the lavender fields (by minibus) during the harvesting season and you can also see the lavender being distilled.

Hi there,
I too have been to the Lavender fields in Norfolk. It was a wonderful day and well worth the time out to go. Even if you don't want to spend to much time there you can go to the beach and there is the wonderful Sandringham estate which looks glourious at the moment. The web address on the catologue they recently re-issued is www.norfolk-lavender.co.uk or you could ring them on 01455 852219. Its free to get in and you can expriance the wonderful lavender jam, tea, scones etc. All very unsual but worth trying. Parking is free and i think the trip around the stills are free.

Thanks Sully, just looked at the website, it looks great, I must go soon while the lavender is still in flower, it looks really lovely.

Its wonderful at the minute. The fields are really beautiful and you would think it would be really heady but its not. The best time of day is sun down as the aroma is then more intense. I loved it.
