The massage parlor is the fourth spa to be closed this year following inspections by Fort Worth police and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
FORT WORTH, Texas — Another North Texas massage parlor was shut down after an investigation found "evidence of illegal services being offered to customers," among other violations, police say.
Rejuvenation Spa in the 6100 block of Bryant Irvin Road in Fort Worth was recently shut down after investigators found "employees working without proper licensure," "evidence of illegal services being offered to customers," and "suggestive online advertising of illicit services," police say.
It's the fourth spa closure this year following inspections by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and the Fort Worth Police Department, according to a press release.
The investigation is ongoing, and the massage parlor was closed in keeping with a recent change in state law that allows TDLR to mandate the closure of businesses where alleged illegal activities are found.
"Both organizations have been coordinating thorough inspections of massage parlors throughout the city in response to increasing public concerns regarding illegal activities, including human trafficking and illicit sexual services," a press release states.
