AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation issued a six-month emergency closure order for eight massage establishments in Texas suspected of alleged human trafficking, including one in Amarillo.
TDLR officials said investigators found “a range of violations at various locations,” including employees living at some of the businesses, lacking required client consultation documents and what officials said were “illicit advertisements” connected to the businesses offering sexual services. Officials further said several employees allegedly identified themselves with out-of-state identification and said they were at the businesses for temporary work, as well as allegedly admitting to providing massage services without a Texas license to do so.

TDLR officials said all eight businesses were owned by people connected through business entities Tongfuxin LLC and Tongfu LLC, and were ordered to halt operations and were prohibited from operating different massage businesses at those locations.
