aftercare advice

[sm=confused-smiley-012.gif] Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am currently studying VTCT Sport and Fitness Therapies, as one of my assingments I have to produce an aftercare leaflet.
I have the basic ideas of massage aftercare, i.e. drink plenty of water, don't drink alcohol etc. I was wondering if there is any other advice I can give.

Hi Claire
Igive the following advice to my clients to follow for the next 24 hours:
Ensure they drink plenty of water to help flush out the released toxins.
Have a light meal that evening.
Not to drink any alcohol.
Aviod any strenuous exercise.
And just to try and relax and enjoy the benefits.

Claire, I always include PTA at the end of a treatment - a leaflet would be good. I agree with Allison - but the best PTA of allis :-

Book Another Treatment!

Some people see massage as a 'fix it treatment' - I believe it should be seen as 'preventative maintenance'. PTA is the perfect time to make that point - its good for the client and good for your business - just as long as it isseen asvalid advice notpushy sales.

I also advise my clients to call me if they have any subsequent questions however small or minor.
